In July of 2017, Bad Cookie Pictures released their crowdfunding Campaign for the Bad Cookie Combo, a special project that involved filming two festival ready shorts in Tandem, Nepenthes and The Devil and I. The aggressive campaign eventually caught the attention of Wishing Treats who donated a batch of custom Bad Cookie Hard Candies, creating a new incredibly popular tier for donations. On July 27th they held the Bad Cookie Telethon, a livestream hosting Vancouver’s most interesting horror creators for interviews, screenings, and live readings. The campaign was a massive success and funded 106% of their goal to a grand total of $5325. The Combo was finished and released in July of 2018 and the two shorts went on to be a massive success in the festival circuit in their own rights before being combined with interludes from horror host “Morana”, a love obsessed witch portrayed by Jaqueline Breakwell (aka Miss Kiss), for the Bad Cookie Combo Blu-ray release.
